Bristol Studio Portraits
Rosie
Rosie had been meaning to book this for a while. Not “a while” in the vague sense — more like: she knew she wanted to start modelling, she knew she needed the portfolio shots, and she kept finding reasons to wait. Then she stopped waiting.
That’s usually how it goes. If you’re looking for a model portfolio photographer in Bristol, the delay tends to be the hardest part.
We shot at my Bristol studio — concrete-textured backdrop, a mix of B&W and colour, and a questionnaire answer that made me smile before she even arrived. Rosie had warned me she’d be the one making all the jokes and that keeping a straight face might be an issue. She was right on both counts.
But in between the laughs, she gave me exactly what she came for.
She had a clear sense of what she wanted: natural, defined, powerful. We covered everything she needed for agencies — headshots, full-body shots, and side profiles. The B&W images have a moodier edge: floor poses, direct eye contact, the kind of stillness she found between jokes. The colour work is warmer, wider, more of her actual energy.
Her eyebrows anchor every close-up. She mentioned them specifically in her questionnaire. She was right to.
She came in wanting to kickstart her modelling career. She left with a gallery that shows exactly what she has to offer.

Thinking about
a Studio Portrait Session in Bristol?
Hi, I’m Eszter — a Bristol portrait photographer with a studio and a strong preference for sessions that feel like a conversation rather than a performance.
Rosie came in fully prepared to be the funny one. And she was. But between the jokes, she found something quieter: confidence, presence, and images that say something real about who she is and where she’s going.
That’s what a portrait session at my studio actually is. It gives you space to be yourself — a bit awkward at first, then not. You don’t need a mood board, a vision, or any experience in front of a camera. You need an afternoon and a rough idea of what you want the photos to do for you.
If you’d like to know more about who I am and how I work, that’s a good place to start. Or if you’re ready, fill in the enquiry form and tell me what you’re planning.
