Halloween Wedding at The Square Club, Bristol
Rebecca & Kharla
Some weddings are just made for sunshine and some shine even brighter in the rain. Rebecca and Kharla’s Halloween wedding in Bristol was pure proof of that.
It poured all day: proper, relentless Bristol rain, but they took it in stride with huge smiles and soaked shoes. Meanwhile, the city lights shimmered, guests huddled under umbrellas, and somehow it all just worked. The day felt cinematic, intimate, and completely theirs.
And then came the miracle: ten minutes of dry skies. Ten! We ran outside like wild things, grabbed the cameras, and caught the most beautiful portraits with the Clifton Suspension Bridge glowing softly behind them. Their dresses caught the wind, the light hit just right, and it felt like time stopped.
A Halloween Wedding Done Right
Back inside, The Square Club looked like a cosy autumn dream: deep greens, gold accents, velvet corners, and candlelight everywhere. The tables were sprinkled with tiny pumpkins, the air smelled like apple and cinnamon (thanks to their incredible cake with cream cheese frosting and, yes, doughnuts on top), and wildflowers brought it all to life.
During cocktail hour, we escaped to the Secret Garden: fairy lights twinkling, raindrops still clinging to the leaves and took portraits that felt soft, quiet, and full of love. By the time their first dance rolled around, everyone was on their feet, sparklers in hand, completely swept up in the moment.
It was imperfectly perfect: messy, emotional, joy-filled: exactly how love should look. Because sometimes, the best kind of magic happens when the weather refuses to play along.
