Your day isn’t a photoshoot, so I won’t treat it like one. You get on with the fun stuff: the hugs, the happy tears, your nan’s questionable dance moves. I’ll be there in full ninja mode, catching it all as it really happens. Moody, artistic, and completely you.

Meet us

Hello, we’re Eszter & George

a.k.a. team Emerald

We’re both from Hungary and went to the same primary school in a tiny village. Years later, we met again in Bristol and the rest is history. Well, not quite. 8 years together, one proposal in the Lake District, and now we’re planning our own wedding too. So trust us, you’re not alone.

We know exactly what you’re going through. You’re excited, a bit overwhelmed, and suddenly everyone has an opinion on the chair covers. We haven’t just been together for 8 years, we’ve worked together the whole time too. So you get a little team who totally gets you, works in sync, and makes sure your day is photographed the way you want it. All you need to do is enjoy it with your favourite people.

and that’s the whole point

Two brides, two grooms, two cultures, two faiths or two languages. Second time round, a tiny elopement, or a party because you already did the legal bit abroad. Kids running riot, the dog as ring bearer, a big church do or the registry office and straight to the pub. If it’s yours, I’m in. I speak English and Hungarian, so nobody’s nan gets lost in translation.

Your walk down the aisle goes right under the chandelier and fairy lights, so the room needs very little styling. It’s right in the city centre, so guests are best on foot or by taxi. See Erin & Robin’s wedding

Look up. The painted ceiling is the showstopper, so keep the aisle simple and let it do the talking. It sits at the top of steep St Michael’s Hill, so book taxis for guests in heels. See Corrie & Mark’s wedding

The barn’s beams and stone walls do half the styling for you, so a few strings of bunting go a long way. Leave a wide aisle so every guest can see you walk in. See Alison & Hamish’s wedding

Full-day collections start from £2,500. Every package includes George as your lighting assistant, travel across England and Wales, and your full online gallery to download, share and print. The right one depends on how much of your day you want covered, from a relaxed few hours to morning till midnight. We’ll work it out together on our call, with no pressure. Want a sneak peek first? Not at all, you’re exactly who I photograph. Most couples tell me this on our first call. I don’t do cheesy poses or ask you to fake a laugh. I stay close, keep it light and let you get on with your day. Within about 20 minutes, most people forget I’m there, and that’s when the photos start to look like you.

Enough that you never feel lost, not so much that it takes over. I’ll guide you through the group photos and a few portraits of you two, then give you your day back. We plan the timings together beforehand, so you always know what’s next without feeling managed.

George is my fiancé and my lighting assistant, not a second photographer. While I follow your day, he looks after the kit and quietly sets up extra light, so dark venues, candlelit dinners and evening parties look moody and atmospheric instead of flat and flashy. We’ve worked together for years, so we read each other without saying a word.

Yes, always. Two brides, two grooms, however your love looks. Every couple gets exactly the same care, with no awkward questions and no forms that don’t fit. Just your day, photographed the way it actually happened. Take Rebecca and Kharla’s Halloween wedding, for example.

Yes, and I love it. I’ve photographed Afghan-Hungarian, Mexican-American and Scottish celebrations. Before the day, we talk through the traditions that matter to your families and any moments I shouldn’t miss, so nothing is assumed or simplified. I also speak Hungarian, so if half your guests do too, nobody gets lost in translation.

Yes, and I love them. Whether it’s just the two of you at the registry office or 10 of your favourite people in a pub garden, a small wedding gets exactly the same care as a big one. Absolutely. More couples do the legal bit abroad or at a quick registry office, then throw one big party at home. Wayne and Ashton did exactly that at Racks in Clifton, and it was one of my favourite nights: all the fun, speeches and dancing, none of the formality. Have a peek at Wayne and Ashton’s party.

You’ll get sneak peeks within a week, so you have something to share while it’s all still fresh. Your full gallery follows in 6 to 8 weeks, carefully edited by me and ready to download, share and print.

Yes. I regularly cover Bath, Somerset, Cardiff, the Cotswolds and the wider South West, and travel across England and Wales is included in every package. I’ve also photographed weddings in Hungary, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Germany. If your wedding is on the map, it’s worth a chat.

I always shoot with 2 cameras, each with a backup memory card, so every photo is saved twice the moment I take it. Everything is backed up again as soon as I get home. If I’m ever too ill to work, I’ll arrange a trusted replacement photographer myself, so your day is still covered. I’m also fully insured with PolicyBee.

Ideally about a year before. I only take a limited number of weddings each year, so every couple gets my full attention. That said, if your wedding is 6 months away or even less, still get in touch. I might just have your date free.
