The Mount Without Wedding in Bristol

Corrie & Mark’s wedding at The Mount Without was one of those days that just worked. Nothing felt forced, nothing overdone, and yet everything came together in a way that felt completely right.

It was also my time back at this venue, and it reminded me why I like it so much. It’s slightly hidden, a bit unexpected, and doesn’t behave like a typical wedding venue. There’s very little formality, which makes everything feel relaxed straight away.

The ceremony took place indoors, surrounded by plants, soft textures, and that incredible ceiling that always makes you look twice. Corrie & Mark added their own twist in a way that felt natural. Building a terrarium during the ceremony made perfect sense. Simple, meaningful, and something they’ll keep long after the day.

They also included a ring-warming ritual, passing their rings through their guests’ hands before exchanging them. It brought everyone into the moment without making a big deal out of it.

Afterwards, everyone headed outside for confetti. It was quick, chaotic, and full of laughter. Exactly how it should be.

Then it was down into the catacombs for drinks and speeches, where the mood shifted completely. Warmer, more intimate, and a space where people settled properly. The speeches were honest, funny, and not over-rehearsed.

Corrie had clearly put a lot of care into the details, and it showed. Nothing felt styled for its own sake. It felt personal.

And the Vans. Matching Vans at a wedding shouldn’t work this well, but they did.

A place like The Mount Without changes everything.

The worn walls, the huge windows, the way the light cuts through the space… it gives you room to just be.

There’s something about it that makes people slow down.

It’s about standing together, in a space full of history and texture, and letting the day unfold exactly as it wants to.
