Botanical Garden Bridal Editorial at ELTE Füvészkert, Budapest
Magos Nikoletta Collection
There is something about white fabric surrounded by green that makes you stop and look twice. This botanical garden bridal editorial was shot at the ELTE Botanical Garden in Budapest, inside the Palm House greenhouse, where tropical palms and ferns climb toward the glass ceiling and the light filters through in soft, uneven ways. The collection is by Magos Nikoletta, a Hungarian bridal designer whose diploma collection rewrites what bridal fashion can look like. Nothing here is traditional. Nothing here is trying to be.

The pieces are structured, architectural, and quietly confrontational. A belted satin blazer with fringe detailing at the cuffs. A deep-V jumpsuit paired with sheer feather-trimmed gloves and a birdcage veil in deep red. A high-neck gown scattered with pearls, finished with a long flowing cape that pooled across the greenhouse floor. These are not dresses designed for blending in. They are for the kind of person who walks into a room, and the room rearranges itself. If you have ever felt like the alternative world was made for you, this collection would make sense to you instantly.

The location did exactly what it needed to do. The Palm House at Füvészkert is one of the oldest greenhouses in Hungary, and inside it feels like an entirely different climate. Humid, dense, alive. The contrast between the controlled structure of the garments and the wildness of the plants created a tension in every frame. Natural wedding photos rely on the light and atmosphere a space already offers, and this greenhouse gave us everything. No reflectors. No added flash. Just the glass, the green, and whatever the afternoon decided to hand us.

Thinking about
a Bridal Editorial Shoot?
Hi, I’m Eszter, a Bristol wedding photographer with a photojournalism background and over 13 years behind the camera. I have photographed weddings and editorials across 4 countries, including my home country, Hungary, where this shoot took place. This project reminded me why I love collaborative editorial work. There is a freedom in it. No timeline, no guest list, no uncle asking when the group photos are happening. Just the clothes, the space, and time to get it right.
If you are a designer, stylist, or bride who wants something that feels more like a fashion shoot than a wedding checklist, I would love to hear from you. Fill in the enquiry form and tell me what you are thinking. We will figure out the rest together.
