Event Photographer Bristol

Documentary event photography for events that have actual character. Corporate, cultural and private events.

You’ve seen the photos last year’s photographer took.

The ones where the speaker is mid-blink and 6 people in the audience are looking at their phones. Same lit-from-below group shot of the same 4 sponsors, every year. Folders nobody has opened since the week after the event.

Not because the photographer was bad at their job.

Because the brief was tiny, the day was full, and the result was a folder of photos that looked exactly like every other event in every other hotel ballroom in the country. You spent months on the venue, the run of show, the catering and the seating. I understand you’re not thrilled that the visual record of the whole thing is 600 nearly-identical files of people holding wine glasses.

I get it.

Corporate events don’t have to look like corporate events. Cultural celebrations shouldn’t be reduced to flat shots of food. And someone’s 60th birthday doesn’t deserve the same treatment as a passport photo.

That’s not the work I do.

“Eszter has this incredible way of capturing those real, unposed moments. It’s like she sees the magic in every second. Our photos feel so uniquely ‘us’, and we couldn’t love them more.”

A bit about me

I’m Eszter. I’m a Bristol event photographer with a background in photojournalism and a Master of Arts in Photography. Before I photographed weddings, brands and events, I worked as a news photographer in Hungary, covering stories where you had to read a room in seconds, find the moment before it happened, and never, ever interrupt it.

That’s still how I work.

I move quietly. Noticing the moment before it lands. Knowing when to stand near the speaker, when to step back from the table, and when the real photo is actually happening behind me. Churches, theatres, conference rooms, hotel ballrooms, festival fields, front rooms. I’ve worked them all.

Your event doesn’t need to perform for me. It just needs to happen.

I’ll be in the room finding the photos that are already there.

“Eszter was honestly amazing at our baby’s christening. She just blended in and got all these moments we didn’t even notice at the time. The photos are so full of emotion, I can’t stop going through them. It’s like I’m back in that moment every time I look at them. If you want someone to really capture the day as it happens, she’s your person.”

Download your free Event Photography Brief Template

I put together a one-page template you can use to brief any event photographer, not just me. What to include about your venue, your run of show, the moments that matter, and how you plan to use the photos afterwards.

It saves you time. It saves your photographer time. And it usually means you get better photos out the other side.

It’s free. No pressure. Just useful.

FAQ

About hiring an event photographer in Bristol

My event packages start at £495 for up to 2 hours of coverage, with full event coverage from £1,495 for up to 8 hours. Every package includes a planning call, my full editing, a private online gallery, and full commercial usage of the images. Travel within 30 miles of Bristol is included. For corporate work requiring faster delivery or recurring coverage throughout the year, a retainer is usually the better option.

I own the copyright. You get full commercial usage for your website, social media, press, internal communications and print. That covers almost every reasonable use a business or private host could need. If you have a specific use case, such as reselling images or licensing them to a third party, let me know, and we’ll include it in the contract.

The honest answer is, as soon as you have a date. Corporate clients tend to book 2 to 6 months out. Private events and christenings often book 4 to 8 weeks ahead. Awards nights and conferences in October to December tend to fill my calendar by July. If your date is closer than that, get in touch anyway. I sometimes have last-minute availability.

Yes, and gladly. I’m originally from Hungary, and I’ve spent years photographing events where languages, religions, traditions and family dynamics meet in the same room. I take the time to understand what’s important before the day, what moments need space, and what should be handled with care. Nothing is assumed, and nothing is turned into a spectacle.

Yes. I cover Bath, Somerset, Cardiff, the Cotswolds and the wider South West regularly. Travel within 30 miles of Bristol is included in every package. For anything further, I’ll quote travel separately, with no surprises. I also work UK-wide and across Europe for clients who specifically want me there.

It happens. If the dance floor takes off, the speeches overrun, or the after-party becomes the actual party, I can stay. Extra hours are £150 each, billed afterwards. I’d rather stay and get the photos that matter than leave on the dot.

You’ll get a preview set within 48 hours, and your full gallery within 2 weeks. If you need a faster turnaround for press, social media or an internal deadline, add the Same-Day Social Preview at booking, and I’ll send 10 fully edited images within 4 hours of the event ending.

Yes. Same-Day Social Preview is a £150 add-on. You’ll get 10 fully edited images within 4 hours after the event ends, ready for Instagram, LinkedIn, or your event hashtag. Useful for awards nights, launches and anything where the social moment matters as much as the event itself.

Yes. I carry £1 million public liability cover through PolicyBee, and I can send the certificate to your venue or procurement team on request. I also work with backup camera bodies, backup lenses, backup memory cards, and dual-card recording on every shoot. If anything fails, your event is still covered.
